What the crap? I thought the 1500's were to get the more powerful V-8 version?! 520ft-lbs of torque would be awesome in a 1500 with the kind of tow ratings those things have I might actually look at one... I mean seriously, I rarely tow more than 10,000# and I could always keep my '94 for serious towing. I guess it all depends on how many bugs these new trucks have with the emissions equipment.

I'm told to expect even better mileage after I get it broken in.
oooooo! That's my dream car! To bad my present income doesn't allow for both a 320 and eating, or I'd have one

To get a vee engine as smooth as an I-6 you have to go up to a 12 cylinder.

An i-6 is the only engine with less than 12 cylinders that has both perfect primary and secondary balance.

Well, I take that back-- a true Boxer engine would have perfect primary and secondary balance, but most "boxers" on the market are actually 180º Vees. The difference of course if if the crank has separate throws for each cylinder or whether a pair of cylinders shares a throw.

Good read here:http://www.autozine.org/technical_sc...ne/smooth1.htm

Don't count on anything with Jeep . It could very likely be sold to a Chinese company to give Cerberus a return on their investment . http://www.autoobserver.com/2007/04/...er_buyer_.html

I wouldn't expect Daimler to give up Jeep quite so soon. After all it's what's making them moola. Secondly is the Dodge. Chrysler was smart dumping Plymouth, who need duplication of same models (is GM listening)? I was surprised that Chrysler went so cheap - it means that Daimler paid too much.

I hate to tell you but Jeep is part of Chrysler group and is now owned by Cerebus who will probably sell it . Watch for a major Chinese invasion soon . Steve Saleen sold his company that made Saleen Mustangs and invested in setting up dealerships for Chinese auto manufacturers here . If a Chinese manufacturer bought Jeep they'd get a whole network of dealerships . Yeah , I know Jeep dealerships also sell Dodges . AMC bought Jeep from ****** . Then ****** disappeared . Chrysler bought Jeep from AMC , AMC disappeared . A Chinese manufacturer buys Jeep ....... Chinese are already making Jeeps http://www.jeep.com.cn/jeep2500/home.html
