They also come with the dt560, The day i bought my ram, boss man comes out with the flyer for these ( I work at Great Plains INT) In sioux city. neway. he goes here ya go nate heres your new truck im like eh dudeDouble my pay and ill buy one from ya. He didnt appreciate that much. But we did have someone buy one. I had the luxury of doing the PD and Test drive on her. Oh sweetness. I want one haha. If I remember correctly you can license it as a non commercial vechile and then you dont need to have a CDL to drive it. and In some states all you need ( if nething) is a air brakes endorsement
Big article in our local rag today about the CXT.....
two paragraphs which i'll quote here.
"The six-wheeled beast was engineered right out to the extreme limit of what is street legal in the U.S. and Canada. Which, no doubt, is part of it's appeal to those who feel an oversized SUV is just so soccer mom.
At 25,999 pounds (11,793KG) , the CTX's Gross vehicle rating (GVWR) is just ONE pound lighter than the 26,000 pound limit for non commercially licensed vehicles. One pound heavier, and you'd need a trucker's license to drive the monster"
Just looking at the tech facts on it....Hmmmm it says top speed: N/A

Gee, for a base price of $93g's you'd at least think they could put a bed on it that actually matced the bodylines of the cab. And that thing is way usless that high up in the air, no gooseneck I've ever seen would hook to that tall sob. I don't know, I just think for that much cash they could have done a lot better than bolting a Ford F-350 bed onto the back and asking a hundred grand for it. That looks like something a couple of rednecks would build out in there garage.
Yeah, it would have been a lot more useful with a stakebed so you could mount a GN ball or a 5th wheel in the middle and take the sides down when you want to tow. It would have been a heck of a lot cheaper if it wasn't a 4x4, too.
I still think that if I were in the market for such a beast, I would look hard at the F650 conversions running around there:
A: You can get a CUMMINS! The 650 ftlbs ISB with Allison or 7 speed I believe. Other options include a Cat, or the PowerStroke (yeah, right).
B. If you want to tow a goose or 5th wheel, there is an outfit that makes one with a low sided bed. The low bed looks kind of goofy, but the ability to tow a 5er would be a big plus.

Look around some sales lots... Lots of F650's with Cummins, some with Cat, but it seems no one orders the 6.0 Power Stroke for dealer stock. I wonder why?
Otherwise, if you like your freight shaken, not stirred, I've always thought the 4door was cool...

Then you could get the 450hp/1,550 ft lbs MBE4000...

As much as I like the looks of that thing I would be hesitant to buy one for anything other than towing. I work with medium to heavy trucks in 4wd configurations up to 32,000 lbs and they sink like rocks in any type of moisture. They are nearly impossible to move after that, 20,000 lb winches are mandatory on these things. I wouldn't bet the farm on one yet.
You'd think Navi would put a decent size engine into this rig? Nope, it's to keep the weight down so the recreational users won't need a Class A CDL!
Give me a Freightshaker anyday, even with a MB engine in it. At least it'll have enough power to climb these mountains.
