Saw a CXT

well i saw one of those international CXT's pull in a Loves Station Today. He pulls up next to me as im pumping diesel. The top of my truck is like at his door handle. The thing was HUGE. it looks REALLY wierd with a boxy front end, and a Rounded F350 bed.

cant say id spend 90 grand on it. He had a huge vinyl sticker on the back window that said CXT on it.

my impression - no thanks.

by wierd, you mean retarded? yeah, I'd have to agree...

put a flatbed on it, and I might be interested, but that thing is just stupid IMHO.

Stupid, yes- but so is the Hummer H2, and they're selling beyond belief. CXT's are gonna be big, but they're not really going to take off with the small-genital wannabe crowd until they get a gas engine. What self-respecting lawyer, doctor or eye-ball deep in debt moron would drive a smelly Diesel?

I just visited the international site to see what you were talkin about, and all I can say is, I'm confused? What's the point of that? Makes no sense to me. 220hp, 540 torque, towing capacity 12,000 pounds, weighs 14,000 pounds, $90k price tag?Hmmm
CTD = 300+hp, 600+ torque, towing 16,000+, weighs 7,000 pounds. More sense.
You know what they say, "A fool and his money are soon parted"

thing is, the truck is so tall you need a hitch that has a 36" drop and good luck getting a gooseneck to hook up to it

Expect to see a huge drop in sales on Hummers. The Gov just changed the tax laws to remove them from the huge tax breaks that they got on them.

I didn't hear anything about that. Will the new Hummer and Lincoln trucks be included too?

If I had the desire to get something that big I'd go with an F650. I really like the looks of them... even with a pickup bed.

But this CXT thing is just plain ugly.

That's funny right there I saw a guy trying to manuevre one of these around the mall parking lot in Rapid City, SD the other day, took him like 46 tries to park in a spot with no vehicles on either side of him. My first thought ....what a bafoon, 2nd thought...what in the hell is that?... 3rd thought...what a bafoon.

I went to the link provided by StrokeThisCTD and now have a couple of more thoughts...1) Why not buy a used 4900, drive it like a pickup and save yourself about 75k? 2)There is one born every minute...why can't I ever think of this stuff?

I was watching something on VH1 yesterday (or this morning technically ) and Ashton Kutcher (That 70's Show, The Butterfly Effect, Punked) has one. It cost him $115,000 after TTL and gets 8 mpg. Hmm, costs as much as a ferrari or an H1, gets about the same mpg, and can't tow as much as my Dodge. Yup. I'll be getting one of these bad boys.
