Post Inexpensive Diesel car noticed

Hello,

I hope this does not violate any rules as I am not "selling" this myself. I just happened to notice this car on Traderonline and it looked so clean and well kept I thought I would put it on here in case anyone might be interested. It's in California. BMW still makes diesels, how I wish we could get them here. Here you go!

The 524td is a dog. Take a new 330D and they'll have to remove that big smile surgically

Might be, but I think you'd have a hard time finding one for under 5-grand.

Mikey B,

Yes that engine was avalible in the Mark VII but those are even more rare.

They were not quick at all, automatics only, but got good fuel milage and lasted well. Practical commuter car in a day of $2.39 diesel.

VW diesels are good commuter cars with the expensive diesel (actually saw $2.04 here in SW Ohio today....) but they are a bit more expensive..... the older bmw line does a fantastic job. i have seen many top 250000 miles and keep on going with only minor repair. That would not be a bad choice.... had a neighbor that had a similar one to that.... he sold it and replaced with a newer car....

$5k for one tho... I'd have it looked over with a fine toothed comb. They can be converted to WVO VERY simply and run very well on it.
