Including Mods in Auto insurance??
Curious, is it possible to insure your truck at a higher value?
Say you have a BOMBED truck and have a lot of $$ stuck into the vehicle (trans, turbo, etc).
Can you pay a higher rate so that you can get re-imbursed if you total your truck out?

Yes you can, but my experience and many discussions with my independent insurance agent is that it is not worth it. Cost in my case was rediculous. Some of the BOMBs will require inspections and some could make insurance harder to find. It could also affect financing, since information sometimes including any adendums and exclusions are sent to fincance company.
Safest and cheapest is to include insurance on the loan that will insure that the loan is covered completely in case totaled and value is less that remaining balance. Then hope you can buy it cheap and recover some costs.
