I like your style there, I've been smoked by a couple CTD in my 1500 reg cab short bed Hemi Sport... But then again stock vs stock I'd pull one pretty easy. But his being a 2500 I'd definately put money on the diesel

I think to be more specific, 12Vs are holding the high hp/tq numbers, etc AFTER a bunch of modification. But you take a 96 12v stock truck vs. ANY of the newer trucks (common rails OR newer 24vs) and you will feel like you're driving a dog of a vehicle in comparison...the older the truck the less it is rated stock, see what I'm saying?

I hope that you meant to say "Outrun one pretty easy"...I'd put my truck STOCK up against ANY 1/2 or 3/4 or 1 ton stock gas motored truck in a 10k pull off competition...

Yeah, most of the chevy HD's I see around here are work trucks with 6.0's in them. Good gas motor, probably the only one I'd buy if I went gasser in a 3/4 ton.

But I rarely see heavy duty dodges or fords with gas motors.

I have yet another question. Is a manual or auto better for sleds?

I would love to see that race, and I would bring the camera equipment so you and he would have a reminder.

Manual... You'll pretty much go through one clutch every pull though.
