I'm torn
also the reason you don't see as many dodges around is......... they don't sell as many... look at the sales figures... simple as that... i'm not saying that the dodge trucks are bad.. i'm just saying that the reason they're not as common as the chevys and fords is that they just simply don't sell as many... ford sells like 6 times the amount as dodge, and chevy sells about 5 times (chevy and gmc combined) as much as dodge....
wow, where i live it's 90% gas trucks... it's kinda sad actually... but the ones we do have are ALL PSDs (except my one friend's dmax) and they've all got a decent amount of stuff done to em
Now, I've been looking at twin turbo kits for 12 valves, and they only run about 3500 bucks, now, what all supporting needs would something like that run? I realize this would be down the road, and gauges and exhaust/chip would come first. But am I forgettting anything?

Full billet tranny
50 or 90hp injectors (whichever you think will suit your plans better)
good aftermarket lift pump
modified fuel pump
head studs
Guess that should about sum it up...basically a FEW thousand dollars worth the stuff. But your truck will be pretty much bullet proof, will pull ANYTHING you hook it to and last ya a REAL long time!

Ah, sorry, I'm a rookie. I've never really gotten a good answer on weather or not to get a 24 over a 12. Reliability isnt a big deal for me. And if thats the only factor then id probally just get the 24. From waht I understand they make more power.
I just had mine done by goerands trans and it was around 3500.00 installed at there shop. The truck is totally different now,, no more slipping convertor and they have a 100,000 mile warranty on them and lifetime if you buy the triple lock convrtor. Also cant beat the service,, Dave will call you himself personally and explain anything to you,.,, Just tell him what you pull, what the max weight is, and he will build it
it just tears them up! if you wanna pull. then go suncoast or dtt. i have a goerands and i love it to death. but i would never hook my truck to a sled. (not that i dont want to)
the choice is yours. take your time before you choose. it took me 5 years to find a truck i would buy. and i plan on keeping it for the next 10+years!
good luck.
well the most powerful trucks ARE 12v.... so..... lol
The cummins is common in my parts where I grew up and where I went to college. If you walk outside you are likely to hear one
Gotta guy on my ship with a 2500 Hemi...says he has about 450hp/500tq...runs 0-60 in about 5sec flat, can tow about 14k, etc etc...and he still has his stock 2 and a half inch exhaust system...matter a fact, I'm pretty sure it IS bone stock, minus tires, CB radio and CD player...I told him any time he wanted to go, I'd be his Huckleberry!
