April 1st of 05 couldn't decide if I should tade-in my 99 cummins because of the 53 block in it. I traded for under $14,000 to boot for the truck in my signature. I got over $29,000 for my 99. Yah I know it's all a numbers game but still I paid under $14,000 for my new one. If you want the best price you have to shop around and be willing to drive a few hundred miles or more some times. The dealerships around me wanted any where from $2,000-$8,000 more. Guess they didn't want the sale and hence they didn't get it.

I took cowboy133's advice, called Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg Idaho, and after a 12 hour round trip, am posting for the first time.

Just Bought 2006 2500 Mega Cab (Cummins)

MSRP 49,765

Invoice is 44,523

Paid $ 43057.00 (3%) under invoice. Also got a 1500 Rebate + an additional 300 discount for a business purchase (never heard of this, they brought it up).

Added Toyo 285/70/17 Open Country AT's, Mud flaps, and Chrome Tube side steps for 1357 including install, for a total of 44,414.

When I asked, my sales guy said any Dodge on the lot (and there are a lot of them) is 3% under invoice. I am really glad I went!

They are not the highest rated dodge dealer in america for nothing. glad you had a good experience, I have bought 4 rigs from dave smith including my wifes van and have always been treated good and never had to haggle once. There price is lower then any and they know it. what is posted is what you pay, sign the papers and leave. With that being said, Go Drive it like you stole it.

"how did you guys get 10 grand off of the window price!?"

I wanted an 4x4 QC SB ST with a stick and since I found a loss leader at the same time that Dodge was offering some good incentives I got mine for less than $26k. It was hard to find though and I almost gave up buying one. A coworker liked my truck but wanted his fully optioned with an auto, so he ordered a Laramie 2500 QC SB and paid about $17k more. A friend liked my truck but he wanted a fully optioned 3500 QC LB with an auto, and I found a Laramie loss leader for him for about $11k more than I paid. When I was looking I found a 2500 QC LB HO ST with a stick for less than $29k, but I didn't want a LB.

If you look for loss leaders and take what they have you can get a good price, and sometimes you pay a large premium to get exactly what you want.

You must know how to deal. Also, once again I got about $9700 of the sticker but, it was at the end of the month, with 2 rebates($6000 total), and it was 2005 model. I got 23% off the sticker which was 42000 and got the truck for 32,300 including tax. I bought my truck at Beaman Dodge in Murfreesboro, TN.
