Talking That was fun

So I was on this nice stretch of snowy road with nothing around. Flat on both sides except for curbs, but no ditches. I was just goofin' around in 4wheel and decided to turn up the juice. Cranked it to level five and eased into the gas. Got going pretty good and then put the hammer down. It shifted into third and I was doin' about 75mph at about a 15 - 20 degree angle under power the whole time. Yes. Stupid usually equals fun.
I always keep boots and a shovel in the truck just in case. Last winter I still had my 1500 HEMI and had my wife and Mom and Dad with me. Went playin' in the drifts in a new neighborhood being constructed with no houses yet. Was on a long stretch (300 yards or so) that was about 2-2.5 feet deep. I'm hammerin' through and suddenly it's like 3+ feet deep with about 150ft to go. Got it stuck and had to climb out the window. Took me about 20 minutes to dig it out. I start backing up through my tracks - stop - put it back in drive - and my wife and my Dad at the same time say "What are you doing?" I said, "I'm goin' through that drift. Hit it about 40mph and blasted snow over the windshield for a good 10 - 15 seconds - NEVER LET UP THOUGH! Pulled back out onto the plowed street and grinned all the way home.

I was thinking the same thing except something like a jersey barrier

I love snow bashin! I don't have the tires for it yet, but soon. This winter is shaping up to be a good year for it.

Drift SMASHING is fun...none here yet.

I watched my neighbors start shovelling one winter...we got over 30 inches and it blew in so bad you could not see where some of the cars were parked but I sure heard where one was when the neighbor drove his shovel into his own car...BANG! then a few choice words.

Fire Hydrants are known to hide in snow drifts.

Why would say that? Did you find one when you didn't want too?

Drift bustin' and leaf pile bustin' is the national sport of our town. Country boy gotta do something. Beware of ditch lanes that hide drain pipes. Not too good on the front tires!

Also be careful of buried lumber at the side of the driveway. They push through the garage door really easy.
Did that snow drift bustin stuff before. Got stuck and had to dig out with a snowbrush. That took a hellova long time.

I put my big Dodge in a 10 wheel drift today, on a empty snow covered parking lot, I cut a circle like a skidpad and just kept the detroit flatfooted until understeer was overcome by oversteer, having the airshifter helped swing the rear end around, it eats up a lot of real estate doing this, guess I had too much time on my hands today.

When I was in high school my buddy pegged a hydrant bashing drifts with his old 66 Chevy...hardly a mark on it but what a mess behind us.

Ther have been 4 kids killed in the state from people hitting snow drifts and leaf piles. The kids would make a fort in the drift and then get hit when someone plowed through it with their car or truck. They would also hide in the leaf piles and the same thing happened. Needless to say I dont hit any snow drifts or leaf piles anymore.

Slip and slide

One year when I had a 98 1500 auto i managed to find this 100ft stretch of road that was pure ice...i got to thinking...if i go over it and slam on the parking brake what happens? So i did...ended up doing a perfect 360 at about 20mph..went back and did it about 5 more times, then got some friends with me...did it 5 more times!

Its fun being stupid!!

Woke up the next day...did it 5 more times
