Smile How much off the sticker ...

Hi guys
I found a local dealer that has quite a few 2006 cummins quad 4X4 SLT 's ... they have 12 trucks ... I like the black , they have two ... both have the same sticker price ... 47 grand .
I see the truck market really slow right now ... especially the high dollar toys ... I know dodge has 1000 back ... that ain't squat ... I would like to chop 7 grand off that price .
Whats the most you beat these guys up for .

Thanks guys

Greg

I beat em for nearly 10 grand, I used to qualify for a price discount and honestly thought I still did, they never checked and they did not put any clauses in the contract so I made out and they got a lil red faced......

I was looking at a 06 and its price was 43k and not trying to get a deal, they knocked off 8k off, on the spot. But I ended up getting a 05 and they knocked 10k off. You may be surpised what they will do.

when I bought my 05 the sticker was 44k ended up getting it for about 33k. I go by rule of thumb. Chances are if they won't make you happy there is a dealership fown the road that will.

My buddy is a salesman for Chevrolet and chrysler and you would be shocked at what the dealer really pays for these rigs. My 05 I bought for 30grand and he still made money off me. but what are friends for right? anyway he told me that same truck the dealer only paid 24.5 for it from the factory. So ever if you talk em down to 30-32 grand they are making 5-7 grand from the sale not to mention the factory incentives and kickbacks etc etc.

It's called, they're not worth anywhere near the sticker price.
Go into a VW dealer and tell them you want 4 grand off of a Jetta (the equivalant of the 10 off a 40K truck, they'll laugh you out of the dealership.

Just like all the other incentives, now they just gave up with the fancy "Employee, Family, Friends Of, Da da da Pricing" programs and they sell just above invoice to move them off the lots.

Don't pay more than invoice. There are plenty of dealers who will deal upfront with invoice or below invoice prices without any BS games.

10K off? Where's my B.S. flag? If someone got that much off, then they stole it.

I ordered mine to be built the way I wanted. It was right at 45K. I ended up getting it right at 40K and I think it had 1K or 2K in incentives. If you can get one for 10% off MSRP, then that sounds fair enough to me.

I got a 05 and it had a 4500 rebate and another 1500 rebate for farmers mutual insurance. Thats 6000 off just in rebates plus they knocked off another 4000.
