How much money have you sunk into your truck?

I think I have in the neighborhood of 8 grand total including the cost of my truck and about 300 hours of my labor . I think about 1500 hundred is in engine mods, but I got a lot of them for free when I bought the truck (guages, gsk, plate, borgeson shaft, all in a box) So what have you guys spent on your rigs

I hate to think too much about it, but it beats monthly payments. $4600 on the truck, $900 in the front end, $225 to rebuild the diff. Exhaust, intake, turbo, injectors squeaks in just under $1000, the stereo is stuff I had laying around out of my old Cop-price, plus $150 in stupid crap like wheel simulators and a Cummins shift ****. Comes to a shade under $7k not including stuff like oil changes and tires. I can think of another grand worth of stuff I'd like to do to it right now. Oh well, beats payments on a new one, God knows I wouldn't be able to leave a new one alone either.

Lets see:

$2240.00 a few years ago for stereo, amps, speakers, and a CD changer

$848.00 a few years ago for a Jacobs

$488.00 last year for stacks

$658.00 last Novemebr for an EZ installed

$4400.00 in March for FASS, SB clutch, 4 inch down pipe, and DDII's, new fog lights since a bird blew out one of them, and a few little things

$10,858.00 in July for new pistons, new cam, head studs, 35/40 turbo, BC box, and a bunch of other stuff

$1024.00 last week for six new tires

I didn't mention the Mag Hytech cover, the Trans Coolers, synthetic oil from front to rear with a dual remote system and Johns SS braided lines, the aluminum tool box, aluminum bed rails and running boards, gooseneck hitch, LED clearance lights, bed mat, new batteries, and, well, you get the picture.

Anybody wanna try to beat that? I'm afraid to add it all up.

Joel, if it's paid for it still beats a truck payment every month.

Oh yeah, it's been paid for for a while now.
I'm working on the ole 92 now but she'll stay stock. Just spent $1700 on new wheels and tires for it too.
I'm looking at the new Magnum but just can't justify it.

There's two sheets.
One that's actual prices for parts.
And another for what the Wifey thinks I paid for the parts she knows about........

I've got about $8k tied up in mine. I had the chance to by a new 600 at a smokin price....no pun intended, but I opted to keep the 01 and BOMB away. I new if I had a new truck I wouldn't leave it stock so in the long run it was cheaper to keep the 2nd gen.

25k all in all (Shhh!!! )

I would not want to even add it up.... $15,000 from Christmas till May of this year. But it has made me some money also. like was said, better than payments. See the way I look at it, if I bought a new one, a year later it has the same problems of wear.
