HO Cummins ? 2006 ?

I am about to buy my first CTD migrating over from PSD territory. Had a sales person tell me there are 2 different versions of the CTD, a heavy duty High Output and a standard 5.9 CTD?

what is this crap?

There used to be back in the 01-04 models but now they are all 325/610 engines.

If you've got a 6spd manual then you have an HO. They only came with a 6spd manual.

You have a standard output... auto trans is a dead giveaway...

as to the original question, all 2006's would be considered either high output or standard output... 325 hp, 610 ft-lbs... only one engine available.

you shouldnt "need" to have any mods or addons done. this is the reason these trucks are made and this is the reason people buy these trucks. the diesels are meant to work hard and tow/pull just about anything. the mods will help you in many different ways, but they will also most likely void your warranty.

You can get a NV5600 with a SO, but you can't get a HO (ETH) without a 6 speed.

Reason I ask is with my 95PSD, i've added a tranny cooler, air induction system, larger tranny pan. Stuff like that.

Thanks for the info though.

True but it was a very limited run of SO 6spd. Most likely if you've got a 6spd then you've got an HO.

You're right about the limited. I have only seen a couple, and they were all 3500s.
