Help with a 7.3 IDI International
I am trying to help my friend who has a 94 F350 with the 7.3 Turbo IDI. He was told the the engine needs to be removed to install a new injection pump. I looked at it and that looks like ********. The pump is dead center top of the engine between the valve covers and looks like I can change it myself to save him dollars. Does anyone have any info on these engines or can I be pointed in the right direction. I tried searching but didn't find what I needed. Thanks!

Go to Ford Truck Enthusiast dot com (FTE words are put together). Do a search. It should take anyone with just a tad of wrenching confidence around 2/3 hours to change out.
You have to remove the steel fuel lines coming out the back of the IP. But you have to remove the line clamps first. I think there are 3 nuts to remove to get the pump off the housing. The bottom one requires a little patience. There's probably a couple of more things to remove, but it's real simple.
Go to the site and ask them, they're as helpful as the guys here.
