Got Turbo friction?

Apparently, some of these Turbonetics units sure have very little!

I saw a video on youtube of a GTK Turbonetics turbo spinning for over 20seconds after the engine was shutdown.

I'd post the link, but you know what kinds of morons post comments at that site.

Type in turbonetics into the search feature there and watch the video with GTK int he title. Pretty impressive.

FYI...both the GT3782R on my friends truck, and my GT4088R spin for longer than that I'll try and get a video sometime...but if memory serves me correct, it's closer to 40 seconds!

Type in "turbonetics" for a search.

Then it was the first hit, showing a GT-K turbo.

Pretty dern impressive.

Chris

So when are we going to see the definitive 4088 writeup from you, Siggy?

When I get back out of this hole where I just uprooted my money tree...that sucker had a big ole set of roots, I can barely see daylight

Actually, the HG repair (and cam, and ported head, and fuel system, and etc) starts tear down tonight since I have everything in my possession except the pump, which goes on last anyway
