they built the diesels in the jeep liberty's and they are/were a division of Detroit Diesel.

 

Perhaps this is why they stopped putting diesels in Jeep Libertys? The official explanation was that the engines were too difficult to upgrade (downgrade really) to pass US emissions.

 

dodge has the rights to a smaller diesel from cummins starting next year so i would imagine it is going in the jeeps and smaller rams

 

GM needs to change it's motto into something more like "The General Buyer & Seller of Companies." At least that's how they seem to have acted lately.

Maybe it would work out well, maybe it will just be another company to sell in a couple years and make a dramatic "cost savings."

 

I'd take one of those Caddy's with a diesel in it. Especially if the hp is good.
