Gauge Questions

A new guy here with a couple of dumb questions. I would like to add a FP and Exhaust Temp gauge, but I do not feel I can do them myself. Would a Cummins dealer do these installs? Not sure I would want my Dodge dealer trying to do these. Thanks for the help.
Hope this is in the correct forum.

Re:Gauge Questions

I feel the same way.
I would feel much better letting someone with experience drilling and tapping into my truck.

I don't have the tools nor the talent nor the patience to attempt it myself.

As far as going to Cummins, you should be able to find someone to do it cheaper then them.

And, if all else fails, there should be members in your area that would be more than happy to help, or watch over your shoulder while you do it. (just supply the beer) ;D

Or find a Bombing party in your neck of the woods to attend.

Smokin J:
I don't know where you are in Wyoming but we are having a wrench day March 9th in Denver (as long as you don't mind hanging with the Rocky Mountain chapter of the TDR for a day). If you have all the parts I bet we can get them installed. Let me know if you're interested.
Barry Gallagher

Re:Gauge Questions

Hi Barry:
Don't think I will be able to make it on the 9th. Thanks for the offer!! If anything changes between now and then I will get in touch with you. The really bad thing about not wanting to try this myself is that 32 yrs ago I was a Huey mechanic in the Army. Was always scared, fix them, and then fly in them!!!!! We had good Tech Inspectors(I believe thats what they were called) who checked everything out though. Thanks again for the offer of help.
Smokin J

Re:Gauge Questions

If you change your mind let me know. If you were a huey mechanic you can do it no problem. The drilling and tapping I had never done before and was scared while doing it but it was a piece of cake.
