I paid $1.15/gallon at a Texaco on the Georgia/Florida border north of Talahassee on 10 January 04. Cheapest I've seen in years. They were trying to get Talahassee-ans to drive ten miles north to fill up. Everything else in that part of Georgia was around $1.46. Everything just over the border in Florida was $1.56.
We ought to have an organized service here on DTR -- members go to it and post cheap diesel sites around the country, with brands, locations, and times. I know, I know, there's probably some kind of issue involved -- soliciting or unfair competition, etc.

Here in Mt. I have seen prices in the last two days anywhere from 1.59 to 1.67 depending where you are in the state. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for the change it just depends on the day or week and how much profit someone wants to stick in their pocket

I just made a trip from Va to Fl and back. I saw prices from $1.39 to $1.74. When I was going through NC at one exit, it was $1.72 and the next exit it was $1.52. Looks like someone was trying to make a buck there. I would bet he doesn't sell much diesel. High dollar for old stale fuel.
