Fuel Gauge
Fuel Gauge
I need to get a new fuel gauge isolator,
I am not sure where i bought mine from, but its an ISSPro gauge
and i think my isolator is busted or something else is wrong with the gauge.
Sometimes the gauge doesn't move at all, and then sometimes it shows 25 psi
Is there a way to rebuild the isolator or should i just get a new one.

After looking closer to it, it was made by EEP i guess i'll give them a call
tomorrow and see what they say about it.

I guess even the company i bought it from doesn't know about the isolator their response "Wow, I'm not familiar with that style isolator."
when it has their sticker, address and part # on it .
Which would you recommend i get?

I have not had any luck with an isolator. Let me re-word that...they never lasted very long.
I ditched the isolator all together and went direct. A couple of the trucks ran like that for 200K miles plus with no issues...no leaks. I put a needle valve in to snub the pulses of the injector pump and ran 1/8" tubing directly to the back of the gauge. This has worked on all my trucks with no issues or failures.
If the concern is a leak in the cab and its going to cause you to lose sleep, then pursue another isolator but I have not yet seen or heard of any failures if the connections are done correctly. Just my opinion on what has worked for me.
