Has anyone heard or or tried this product. See any problems with routing crankcase vapors back through the CTD?

EGR systems dont have filters like this thing does.

Also BYU university runs something similar on all their fleet trucks and vehicles..they seem to think they work??

The guys on the FAST website don't seem to know the first thing about diesel engines as they show a fuel/air mix being injected to the cylinder just like a gasser.
A man who has the patent on a similar device lives near me. It looks and works exactly the same but doesn't work with a turbo charged engine because the blowby can't overcome the boost pressure unless you dump the blowby preturbo. This tends to gunk up the turbo and intake system.
I know a few people who have these similar units on gassers. It's amazing how much stinky gunk gets trapped by the filter. No mpg gains but it only seems sensible to keep this crap out of the engine.
I also know several folks who have built their own device for under $50 out of a large fuel filter, housing and a few feet of hose, all from the autoparts.

This looks similar to something that I tried years ago on an old '69 Dart. The theory was to use manifold vacuum to pull crankcase vapors thru the separator and reburn the gasous portions so that you could lean out the carburetor and save fuel. Lots of nasty gunk collected in the filter bowl on mine too. Not sure how it would work on a TD because the lack of manifold vacuum.
