Frustrated!!!!!!!

Well, last week my head gasket decided to blow so I took my truck to the local dealer since it is still covered by the 100k engine warranty. The service manager tells me that they should have it ready in a few days. I called Monday and he tells me that they have been short handed and have not gotten to it. I called yesterday and he told me that they were working on it and that it would be ready today no later than noon. This is great news because I had planned on going out of town and need the truck to pull a trailer. Well, he calls me today around 10 and tells me that the mechanic working on it has called in sick and may not be in until Friday or Monday. I asked the manager how far along they were. He tells me they need to put the head on and put everything back together so I ask him to put someone else on it. He then tellls me that management will not allow it!! I am really about to head down there and throttle somebody!!! IS this not ridiculous? The bad part is I just saw the mechanic eating lunch at Subway!!!

OOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well sometimes I call in sick with my job I teach. So I have the days. That way I can take care of personal busisness for my farm. Why? Because Farm agencies here are closed on Saturdays. Go Figure.

Sounds like they need to hire more than one mechanic that is capable of doing that job.

I understand taking off work from time to time but not when you are in the middle of something. I always make sure that I am completely finished with whatever it is I am working on at work before I take off or call in.

Before you throttle someone, I would try to get them to loan you a truck for the weekend. That is the least they should do. After you have the keys, throttle away

Well, the service manager told me that if it is not ready today they are going to give me one to drive until mine is fixed. My trailer is a gooseneck and the only truck they have on the lot with a hitch is a '05 3500 4x4 SLT Laramie This should be fun if mine is not ready

I think the service managers go to school to learn and memorize the book of excuses to make them sound more professional I've heard a bunch of them. At least they will sooth the pain a little by giving you a loaner. Should be fun.
