Ford rulz yo!

This is the second thread of this nature I've stumbled across without looking...

It's amazing-dodge trucks are "junk" except for the motor. Just ask anyone brainwashed to believe fords are superior, no matter how many times it breaks down!

I was able to watch the FORD woes first hand..

One of my students bought a new 05 1 ton van with the 6.0. In 7 months and 8,000 miles it has been in the delaer 4 times. Runs for 1 to 2 minutes then shuts off.. Wait 10 minutes and it will start again.. It will idle al day long but as soon as you drive it 1 to 2 minutes later it stops.

I talked to him last week and from the last break down it has been in the shop for over 3 weeks and they still don't know what the probelm is.

I think he is running something like 30% down time and this is his business truck.. He is a finish carpenter.

I almost feel bad with all the ford 6.0 jokes I threw at him in class..

Pay close atention to their signatures....Lotsa good reading there

My dream truck becomes a reality in Sept. of 04
2005 F350 XLT, Crew cab, 4x4 Powerstroke A/T Dark Stone Tow Command Truxedo toneau Rhino liner.
.
The dream becomes a nightmare:
as of December 2005 This truck has 13000 (BONE STOCK) miles on it and has been towed in 4 times for oil preasure shutdowns. Which turned out to be 3 oil pumps and one blown injector. Driven into the dealer "puking" that turned out to be blown head gaskets. It has spent 60 days in the shop thus far. The last tech to work on it advised it's not a matter of IF it breaks down again, it's a matter of WHEN it breaks down again. Ford refused to replace motor when dealer requested it.
BBB has now ruled in my favor and declared this truck a LEMON!
Look for it soon on a dealers lot. "buyback"
I pitty the poor SOB that ends up w/ it.
PRETTY truck UPDATE: Truck was perfect from delivery 04/03 - 09/03. Truck is sick, has been a problem child since 09/03 when reflashed during a diagnosis. They can't seem to make it right again. I've joined the legions of the Damned here now with the chronic bad unit. As of February 2005 Ford Canada says all my ongoing problems are "normal characteristics of the trucks". Pretty lame excuse As of Dec 2005, truck has still failed (dealer visit) on every road trip with trailer. Ford still refuses to help, over $12,000 in warranty work so far!
Now have automatic payments. (She's paid off)
6 Years of ownership & she's all mine, no longer love the truck. Really, really Hate Ford. Built Jan, 98. Released to the wild for pulling, 3/23/98.
Fulltiming. Gone Haulin. 38 ft 5ver.

This guy had a lemon and bought ANOTHER!!!

-Signed for and delivered on Feb 28, 2004-
2004 F250SD 4x4, XLT Sport, FX4, Crew Cab
6.0L PSD, Torqshift, 3:73ls
Dark Shadow Grey, Power Cloth Captain's Chairs

DSB buyback 2/16/04, RIP 2003 F250SD, 6.0 PSD

I'm not sure he had a choice in getting another. If I remember right, it was a swap-type deal. Still, it seems that a lot of ford guys that get burned by the 6.0 come back for more. Many of them say that they're hoping the later one they get will have the issues ironed out, and there's some good logic there. The problem is, not all of the issues are ironed out, and it's not niggling ones left over either. I guess if you end up in a position where the only offer on the table is a newer version of what you're dumping, you can only take your chances and hope it's better than what you had.

I love both my Cummins Dodges,I had a lemon chevy once and I gotta tell ya its no fun. The dealer finally bought it back, with me buying a new truck from them. In Chevys defense, it was just that, a lemon not a ongoing problem that alot of people were having. When does the Gov't or some agency step in and stop this from happining. These poor sobs are sitting on a pos that they can't do anything with accept ride out the storm. Just keep making the payments and hope for a brighter tommorow.(Or a buyback)
