Ford, Dodge and GMC: Diesel Pickup Truck Tow Test (with Video
hwy miles are not real miles lets see what happens when you take all 3 load them to the capacity and put them to work on logging roads, dirt roads in and out of fields and pastures ( in "EXTREME CONDITIONS")and see who has the least amount of down time the least repairs of real world miles not hwy miles that can be done in anything that rolls.
Who buys a drw 4wd to put it strictly on the highway?

when 90 percent of the new pickup buyers are payment pounders the big three are only going to cater to that market. you go ride in a sixties anything thats a 4x4 and it makes a long day of it. i remember going with my uncle in his 67 chev 3/4 ton 4x4 60mph was fast and with out sound deadening the whine of the gear boxes well just say if the big three would meet halfway between carpets and gear whine . dad always owned int. rigs and his 69 travelall didn't even have a radio. his 73 int 3/4 ton had manual steering no power brakes (drums) no air. but it was a hauling machine that never left us working on it in 100k miles other than brakes and a water pump.
