ferd buybacks

I`ve been doing some reading at a couple of ferd diesel boards and see post after post about buyback this and arbitration that. I know that the bleu ovel guys have a coupla probs with the 6.0`s but just what in the name of Sam Hill does foerd DO with all of the bought back trucks? ....just wondering, I would have asked this question over "there" but I would`nt want to be accused of being a TROLL, LOL.

I hear that. I'm a member over at TDS and those guys are blue to the bone. You don't want to hint that Ford may have some issues or you will be attacked by wild dogs. And never, EVER mention that you like Dodge cause you may receive death threats!

On a serious note, I have heard that they are putting these buy backs right back out on the lot. As we all know, a used car salesman will never willingly tell a prospective buyer this so you got to really watch out for yourself. I really feel for these poor folks that are going in to look at a used 04 or 05 with 3k and buying the salesmans line, " Oh, the owner just wanted to upgrade!" Yeah right. I doubt this is just an issue with Ford only, they just have a lot more buy backs.

Dealer in our town puts them in the certified pre-owned lot for 90 days, then sends them to auction. By, contrast the Cheby dealer sends unsold used cars/trucks to the auction yard once a year. Takes five trac/trailers!

Round these parts Caltrans gets them to to make roadside ornaments. still cant understand that one. Maybe the idea is other ford owners driving buy can scrounge parts off em to keep theirs goin down the road
