Fass replacement filter question
Fass replacement filter question
I just wonder if anybody with the FASS system is using donaldson filters instead of the fleetguard for the fuel filter. I can get donaldson locally and usually have to order the fleetguards or buy them by the case.
just wondering
thanks

If you can find a number to cross to any of our 150 Series FASS units filters.....go for it. Just be sure of the micron rating.
The 95 Series FASS fuel filter cant be crosses over. The filters for thoes units are made just for us by Fleetguard. I hear that the water sep. can be crossed though. BUT I don't have a number for it other than our in-house number.

Drain as much as you feel you need to. Its a good habit and if you want to get picky...i think its actually recommended that you draining the stock WS every time you fill up......Might be a bit excessive....BUT it only takes one tank of fuel. I would carry a glass jar to drain into. That way you can inspect for water and no pollute....even though the fuel pumps have years worth of diesel around them on the gnd already! hahah....
I drain it when ever I remember to, I beleave it is suppose to be done after the truck sits over night, can't remember where i hear that, but I usually do it in the morning before I start her up."When i remember that is"
