Hi guys I am looking at rebuilt dt 466 engine with an inline injection pump (year unknown) I am guessing mid to late 80's. The engine came out of a over the road truck, but i want to put it in a international 5288 tractor. so the question is what needs to be done to convert the injection pump to an industial application instead of an automotive one. Thanks for any help

 

i wouldnt change anything. the gov. springs may be diff be different and the timing will be different.

 

I'd find out what the rated HP is on that OTR engine , usually they pump out more power than an AG version of an engine ( 6.7 cummins in a tractor is 125- 160 hp). Ag engines are usually loaded heavier for longer sustained periods, it won't last at the high HP level, unless it tears up the tractor drivetrain first.
