It Doesn't Make Sense To Me

I was looking at Dodge's new Power Wagon on their website. They give it a lot of useful features to help offroad performance, but there is no CTD option or manual transmission. You must order it with the Hemi and 5-speed auto.

I'd guess the CTD would eat the e-locker in the 9.25" front diff or snap front axles.....

Power Wagon option package $6000+.........Cummins engine $5000+, before you know it you're pushing $50k. How many is Dodge going to sell at that price?

Four Wheeler magazine just named the Power Wagon their Truck Of The Year. Their only complaint was a lack of power from the Hemi. They hinted that the Cummins would be a welcome option.

That is true and the hummer's h2 off road capacitry is crap. That power wagon is impressive I hope Dodge offers front and rear electric lockers on the 06 dodge ctd's I know ford is offering this on their trucks in 06 on the super duty. Have you ever wheeled you Ram ctd I have man it is rough any mudholes and man the front end just sinks like a rock not to mention you need to be in 4wd to go uphill on a gravel road. I would like to build a 1st gen truck with a 24 valve motor and compete in mud bogs some tall tractor tires and about 800 ponies anybody ever seen a ram in a mudbog contest

ram in a mudbog contest... yes..... diesel powered ram in a mudbog contest..... yes...... diesel powered ram in a mudbog contest that did well..... no. they seem to be too heavy to do well. it seems that the smaller, lighter engines (318, 360 gassers) do the best in the rams
