I don't know, I'm not very good with computers and can't get the picture on. I do have it saved in my pictures on my computer but don't know how to get it on here??? I'm sure alot of you have seen it anyway.

um... Not really all that impressive since we move 200,000 lb rail cars with a 4cyl perkins in a forklift. Level ground is the key.

 

I've seen a man pull a Locomotive train on TV That picture doesn't show it pulling anything, just that the tow strap is tight I pulled an 80,000# semi with a half ton gasser in the mud. (To bad I didn't get it on film.) By the way, it is true about my 1/2 ton gasser pulling an 80,000# semi in the mud. (But he was assisting in me!)

Just given you a rought time, I am sure any one of these Diesel pickups could tug that truck on a haul road as long as the truck is a 4x4.

 

Umm, gearing might make a difference too. I bet the forklift won't do 60 MPH.

 

I believe this was a promotional stunt done by DaimlerChrysler when they realeased the 600engine, I found it on the cummins website in some archived news articles. The article said that it weighed like 155,600 or so.

 

I would love to know if the truck actually pulled that load. I have that pic as my screen saver at work and people always ask if it is real.

I saw the promo article before. Yes the dodge could pull that monster, but they couldn't steer

 

I believe it did. If you look close at the picture behind the dually tires you can see where the ground was disturbed as the tires dug in to the dirt as it pulled.

 

Not that impressive, because the rolling resistance is all that the Dodge has to fight.

If it was pulling it up even a 2% grade, then THAT would be impressive.
