There's PTO and Chassis. You want Chassis

There are 2 different chassis dynos, as well.
Dynojet is the most common, and does not load the drive train. http://www.dynojet.com/
Mustang dynos (http://www.mustangdyne.com/)are a resistance type and use an electric motor to simulate air resistance and rolling resistance. Of the 2, the Mustang dyno is much more accuate and a tune done on one will be too.
We've tuned race cars on both and the data logging confirms the accuracy of the tunes. However, there just aren't as many Mustang dynos out there.

What about a Superflo dyno? I know you typically see those in big rig shops.

The superflo is the true load dyno. It is a water type roll dyno and is very accurate. Also it has capacity for large Hp/Tq as it is used to simulate highway conditions for highway tractors. The emergency stop system can also stall a 700hp - 2400 ft-lb engine if a runaway occurs such as engine failure.

I have run on a superflow and it is the most repeatable and not for the faint of heart. It can hold you at full load all day long.

Mustang is close to the superflo, but I believe the one that PDR has from Australia is stronger than the Mustang and can hold good diesel power.

From Australia? That maybe a Dyno Dynamics machine.

I've been on a Dyno Dynamics unit, and it does a fair job of loading the motor. Not near enough to bog it down, but it definitely takes more time to spin it up than a Dynojet.

not exactly an electric motor, it is commonly called an eddy current brake.
