Diesel generator for emergency home power

In the old days, four wheel drive trucks had a PTO in the transfer case. Would make it easy to hook one of these up..........

NorthStar PTO Generator — 27,500 Watt, 48 HP Required
Single-phase engine generates 200 Amps @ 120V and 100 Amps @ 240V simultaneously.
You could hook something up to the rear wheel and jack the truck up.........but not worth it, big generators are real inexpensive right now.

I hate to support the chinese, but I saw a harbor freight flyer that had 2000 watt invertors for about $150. You could hook one of those up to your truck. You know how reliable chinese crap is though.
