It sounds funny but it may be the truth. I read an article that Fiat was looking to expand into the American business arena and they were looking at Cummins. If I can find the link I'll post it....

This wasn't the one I read but states basically the same thing... I guess Fiat is a major player in the world of engine building... I didn't know that.

Hmm... just read the article. The entire time I was thinking that Cummins had a lot higher market cap than they actually do. Made me wonder how a company could expect to take them over...
Certainly answered my question... Fiat is 25 times the size (revenue speaking)! Although it seems to me that if any company was in the market for them it would have to be CAT since they are a direct competitor.

Just kicking myself. Woulda' been nice to have bought Cummins stock a year ago or so.
I sent my powerstroke buddy a link to this thread, then said some smart aleck thing like "Maybe you should buy some Navistar stock! Oh wait.. you can't because they've been DELISTED."

Yeah, I always miss out on the money making investsments too. There's been some really hot stocks in the uranium industry in the last few years. It's going to continue with the spot price per pound more than doubling to $113US/lb since October.
