Yeah, I've spent over $16000 on the second gen since the second week in March and it has been in the shop since the first week in April. Supposed to get it back this weekend.
The first gen is getting a dump bed insert and will be a work truck.

A work truck????? Why not make it's work a little easier with some mild bombing.

Well Ive been lookin @ 1st gens I found a 91' for 5g's in AZ too far away but man that truck is spotless ..........What is the oldest cummins I can get in a dodge ram 4x4 5speed, and are the first years still good to own I know they dont have an intercooler what else????? can you still bomb the very first cummins or are you limited?? Im gonna get one for sure but Im not gonna rush in to any thing I want to hang back untill the right priced truck comes along ......for me to know what I want I need your help. If the very first ones are still fun I wont have to spend the exta $$$ for the 92'-93' that has the intercooler. How old can I go and still be an 89' ????

In answer to the bombing of the 1st gens, here's an 89 that's in the 500 rwhp ballpark:
