Question Which cummins to go with?

Let me start out with saying hello all. I was wondeing which cummins you would put under your hood if you owned a 95 2500 burban chevy truck. I was thinking on a 1994-98 DI Turbo Cummins 12-Valve but I do know about the 24 valve.
I do know there are some electronics involved in doing this but I was wondering if the 24v is worth the time? If not I would just put in the 12v I am only tring to get 300-400 at the wheels.

Also I do see alot of guys wanting to run the 24 v and the manual pump that is why I asked about the 24v in the first place.

Thanks Joe

even master diesel guys dont want to do a P-pump conversions on a 24 valve, its just hard and involves alot of parts for most people, get a 94-98.5 p-pump cummins 12 valve and drop it in.

94-98 12v all the way for a swap. simple, no major electronics to mess up, and can reach ur hp goal in no time. Just make sure ur axles are up to snuff or u'll be replacing them, lol, i think they'll be fine for that hp though.

Thanks for the info
If I wanted to get about 300 at the wheels what would you do? Remember I have a auto. I was told that I could turn up fuel with and shave a peice down and get close to that. What do you think?

thanks

ok this is sounding good so far. thanks again.
I am wondering from what I read do you guys know if I put this in my
95 burban 480le will I have to move my trans at all? I do not want to change my front axle or move my trans. I know you can get it over the axle but require some fabing to do this.

I just want to slip it in

Also here if you guys know does this list sound about right.

1. 6BT 12 V ENGINE
2. TRANS ADAPTER
3. TRANS STAND ALONE COMPUTER
4. MOTOR MOUNTS
5. MODIFIED AC BRACKET
6. MODIFIED ALT BRACKET
7. THROTTLE PEDAL
8. THROTTLE CABLE

Please let me know so I can get my list updated

thanks again

These things have more than 300 ft/lbs of torque completely stock .

300HP, like a couple have said, could be done very easily with little modifications.

A Cummins in a Suburban would be really cool!

I heard you might need a 2 or 3" body lift but not really sure.

I would get a junk 2nd gen and take the tranny and engine. Sell the rest of the truck and use it towards some gauges.

Is it a 4x4?
