Be careful what you put on your dash......

I just picked up my truck 3 and a half weeks ago. I bought it used and had a lil problem the other day, it seems the old owner used to carry various items on his dash, which ended up costing me $220....................................

Note the melted plastic on my blower motor.

Oh, and look some broken blades.

And a top view of what caused everything.

The money wasn't the annoying part, it was the 3 days without air conditioning in 90*+ heat....

Just a lil heads up so noone else needs to suffer this.

I cant stand having stuff up on my dash.

In college (went for automotive) we had a guy bring a van in because his defrost wouldnt work. Didnt even have to bring the truck into the shop to figure out the problem, he had about 6" of junk mail piled across the entire dash. We took all the junk off and threw it on the seat and it worked fine. When he came to pick it up we told him the defrost wouldnt work if the he had the vents covered up with junk. Couple weeks later he comes back complaining that his defrost isnt working again. Teacher looks outside and sees all the crap on the dash again and not wanting to deal with the idiot anymore tells him we dont have time to fix it and to take it to a shop.

I couldn't get upset if it was me who did it, that is what is eating me in the rear right now.

Yeah, it still spins, and I have the box from the new one, shipping might be $7-$10. Lemme know.

After seeing the first pics, Im thinking about putting a piece of window screen under the dash cover on mine so that wont happen.
What could it hurt??

Should be fine, as long as it is attached to the dash good.
