General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

Wonder if he will have to repay all the billions of dollars spend on '07, '10 and Tier IV emssions equipment and lost time and money.

True some of this may be good, but after a while...come on!?

well, considering it gets 8-10 yrs to phase in, and takes effect in 2014, you've got time to decide where to move to, outside of CA.

This will effect everyone North America.

Even cars offered in Europe will be affected. Won't just be the CA.

The problem comes in that when people move out of Kali they want the same things in the new place that they had in Kali. So then the cycle starts and contaminates the other states.

They want to impose their "ideas" on others, nothing else. Doesn't it sound familiar?

I was reading where many X-Californicators are moving to the Oklahoma City area. We have had a few move here, they didn't lst long with all the gravel roads, dust, dirt and no sidewalks. They tried to press the issues regarding that stuff, got all but tar and feathers, laughed at, harassed, so they left for other parts.

I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, went to college at Berkeley. Worked at Edwards AFB for a number of years, sometimes had to also work in El Segundo. I moved/left California in 1976. Have yet to miss the place. Been there a couple times over all those years for family stuff. I have no reason to go back now.

As far as their emissions laws, they started screwing with them back in the early 70's, never did make much sense to impose such high standards all the time with albeit annual changes, but there was no stopping that stuff once it got rolling.

I suppose NOW would be a good time to get out of there for those who can manage to make other plans.

Don't lump all us Californians in with the fruits and nuts. There's some good guys and gals in every screwed up place. Problem is, if the Obamanator and his extreme Marxist minions aren't stopped it won't matter where you live.

Been here all my life. Been in auto repair all my life. They just keep making this smog/air B.S. up to justify their own jobs and to create more state related jobs to oversee the B.S. they created.
