Might sell my truck...
First off... this is not a for sale thread, and I am not advertising my truck for sale...
The other day at the dyno event I was at, this kid came up to me and said he really liked my truck, and said he was looking for one like it. I told him that everything I had was for sale except my OL and kids (and he could just take over payments on those) (just kidding, dear).
Anyhow... he asks how much I want for it, and I say 30k. He looks over the truck, asks a lot of questions, then says ok, I'll call you Monday.
Heck, I figured, he ain't gonna call. He's like, 19.
Yeah. He called. Said he'll have the $ by the end of the week.
I'll sell it to him, but I'm gonna cry. Gonna need to take the next day off work after it goes.
Should I do it? Probably not, but I can't pass that up. I'll buy a hoopty (or how ever you spell it) and have no payment, and half the fuel bill.

Man thats a sweet deal tho.....
I'll sell ya a hoopty that gets 17-18mpg

If he shows - with cash that isn't "burning through his pocket" if you catch my drift - sell it to him. I would make sure you have at least one other person present to verify the authenticity of the transaction.
You can always find another truck - plus as you say, why not get rid of a payment.
Even if it means a few tears.

Financially its a sound decision. I battle it often with my 08. (I get the 2nd gen itch pretty often)

Yeah a P-Pumped 24 would be awesome.
Ive already got a 12v, I think if ever I do get a 24v Ill just carry a spare VP around....
