It's becoming the norm for people to walk in buying on emotion, buying too much for their budget, extending themselves too far in hock, and not doing their homework as to what they should/can pay, and not knowing what is the best prices and trade values. An the other side, it's the salesman goal to get all he can out of you. He doesn't care if you default. That's the finance company's problem. He's got his check.

This sounds like what has happened on a very big scale for many years in the USA and Canada. Just an observation...not just with vehicles and the gov's keep on doing it.
