Reviving this link....looking to add some hp/tq to my Yanmar 6cyl turbo aftercooled. The setup is almost identical to the 24v VP44 CTD but no electronics, one 12v wire will run it. They're rated @315hp but if I could get them close to 350hp by tuning/pump adj it would make my day!

I've often thought of upping the hp on a couple of my tractors, especially the ones that aren't quite up to the job and the next one up is a lot bigger than needed.
Then I found out that the drive trains and hydraulics are designed for stock hp.
In the long run it's probably cheaper to just use the right hp tractor for the job than risk tearing up a good machine.

^ yes I'll agree... This 6cyl marine application is wanting some more power to push 16k lbs of boat. Any recommendations?
