I have a friend that has a 98 2500 Ext Cab 4x4 w/ the V10. He has had the 47RE tranny replaced a couple of times by the dealer and is also tired of the gas mileage of the V10. He has a good deal of experience with diesels and is considering swapping out the gasser for a 12V. What we want to know is how hard would it be to accomplish and has anybody done this? Also what kind of $$$ are we talking about here? He's a hands on type of guy but he's like most of us here, I'm guessing, living pay check to pay check.
