4bt smoking white

at work i have a fork lift that has a 4bt in it with the 4b version of the vp44 . it will not start and smokes very thick white . we drained the fuel and put fresh in so its not water in the fuel . theres no sign of a bad head gasket . wich leads me to think the pump died . i know that the vp44's have a habit of smoking like this when they die . what im guessing happened was they ran jp8 fuel in it and the mother board that controls it fried . just like when you run a vp44 with low fuel pressures . it gets hot and kills the pump. it has a mechanical lift pump . the fork lift has only 100 hours on it . any ideas would help. is there a way to test the pumps with out a scanner

If it only has 100 hours on it , call the dealer and let the warranty fix it...

Ok , well the first things i could be doing , would be checking the fuel system (lift pump?) , then pop test the injectors and do a compression test, it's possibe that being that old , with that little use, that stuff is sticking , ie , piston rings, not to mention that they never got broke in to begin with.

On a side note , i have never seen a 4B or a 6B in industrial equipment with a VP on them , every one i have ever seen had a VE pump.
