I just read in the paper today that President Bush signed a $3400.00 tax break for purchasing a new diesel car..

Does anyone know if this is for Our trucks also????

There are 7 hybrid vehicles available for the tax break, the only domestic vehicle is the Ford Freestlye

 

The break isn't just for hybrids but also includes "clean diesels"

I highly doubt Rams will be included because of their weight.

 

Of course there are tax breaks for trucks. Under new tax laws businesses can expense $105,000 of the cost of a truck bought in 2005, but the truck must have a loaded gross vehicle weight rating that exceeds 6000 lbs. And the bed must be at least 6 ft in length.

Might be something to check into!
