You people have to remember what you are paying for in taxes also. the 1.40's in Georgia is actually higher than the 1.55 or 1.59 in Alabama because of the road taxes. Some states do not even have road taxes on it. Run with an IFTA permit for a while and you tend to purchase the fuel at the states with the higher taxes to off set the states with lower fuel taxes.
Add .07 per gallon to Georgia fuel and it then equals Alabama fuel.

That lower Alabama math is confusing me. To me, a buck-fifty a gallon is less than a buck-sixty-three a gallon. I'll let Uncle Sam et al takes care of the taxes.

Add Federal and your state tax to NYMEX harbor fuel base = what your state should be charging.

Just made a trip from VA to MA, seen prices from $1.539 to $2.06 along I95 & I395. I think the highest price was in CT along I395. One of the cheapest up north was on NJ Tpk $1.559.

1.53 - 1.55 around here. I firmly believe this entire deal is a conspiracy by the government and the oil companies. They put it where they want it for $$ or leverage of some kind and we all take it in the shorts! JMO - JKE
