Al is right, you're talking about an engine that holds eight gallons of oil rather than the measly three the Dodge Cummins holds. The ISB in non-Dodge applications holds five gallons but Dodge had to have part of the oil pan cut away for the axle.

You also have to be careful and remember that Dodge pays for any warranty work, not Cummins. I don't think you'd make it very far waving a Cummins.com paper in the service managers face if it didn't conform to a DC requirement.
