Speaking from my german exchange students point of view though. It might cost more over there but their cars get much better mileage than ours, AND the distances they travel are less.
$2.96 in Anchorage Alaska not to bad up here. Guess we could all live in Europe at 2.05 a liter and 3.78 liters to a gallon. The big difference in Europe is that diesel is way cheaper than gas (2.90 a liter) Diesel should be cheaper than gas less processing and additives.
