What happend to diesel prices in the last 4 days?
I know that gas out here in CA is worse than just about anywhere else in the country but diesel is getting out of control and I cant understand why. I know that CARB wants super low sulfur fuel out here and that contributes the the price hike but when diesel goes up 25 cents in 4 days thats rediculous its over 15cents more than premium right now and its summer not winter so can somebody please tell me what is going on?
Cheapest I found is at my local 76 that has always been teh cheapest on diesel and it was at 2.50 now its 2.75 another place i passed on the way home was at 2.98 for diesel
I feel like I should have just baught a Ram SRT-10 its cheaper to drive that than my cummins. SOmebody please shed some light on this price hike all of a sudden

Why aren't the big rig drivers complaining. Seems last year when gas got high they blocked freeways here in CA. This year everyone is just accepting it. That's usually the plus with diesel, diesel goes up, prices of goods go up, everyone complains and the government takes notice and regulates. They are all in essence, on our side. Heck, gas could go to $5 a gallon and it wouldn't effect the price of your McDonalds hamburger but raise diesel that much and you'll feel it.

That is one of those untruths that people are always pushing. Blame the Arabs for this, blame the Arabs for that.
The US imports most of it's crude from South America. If you want to get angry at someone, get angry at them.
And the oil companies who actually set the price that fuel sells for, plus the state/federal taxes on every gallon you purchase.

I paid $2.26 in East Texas this past weekend. At home it's about $2.35 except for the truck stops, they're running $2.20. It's been like a roller coaster around here.
It seems to me we have a lot of possible oil reserves right here in the USA but too many people don't want drilling rigs in their backyards to take full advantage.

Man.... I hate to say anything but diesel prices have stayed pretty constant around here. The last time I filled up it was $2.17 so don't tell anyone. I would hate for it to go up anymore.
