veggie oil - WVO

How do 12v cummins handle veggie oil?
Please assume I'm using good veggie oil in a proper two tank system. That means starting an stoping on diesel and heating the veggie oil to lower viscosity to diesel's.

Good systems, coupled with good filtration (including before you ever put it into you're truck), and you will save thousands of dollars. Even if you shorten the life of you're injection pump from 400,000 to 300,000 miles, the savings are worth the weekend of wrenching. (Of course, I've never actually done this, so ask back in a couple years...)

I have all of the pieces waiting for my install to be completed about 6 months ago. I got so many goodies waiting to be installed; fuel pressure gauges, thermocouples controllers, custom-installed second tank, 1/2-inch in 1-inch line-in-line fuel hears, piston lift pump, electric fuel valve, custom dash insert...

How well your engine handles WVO depends on the type of oil.
The animal fat lard deep fry oil from places like Taco Bell will leave engine damaging deposits.
Using vegetable oils, no problem.
All waste oils aren't created equally...

So true infidel, so true. Canola from Chinese restaurants seems to do quite well.

I have been looking for oil. I went and checked a couple holding tanks from places that have offered me wvo. Both places had oil that was quite liquid at 30 degrees. Is it a safe bet that these oils would be safe to use after thorough filtering? One is from a chinese restaurant and one is from a local, non chain chicken wing and burger restaurant. I imagine I could ask to see their supply oil and find out exactly what they are using.
