Tiki Torch Oil - Can we run it?

Because Wal-Mart has a sale on it - your exhaust will smell like lemon grass and deter mosquitos.

Burns great, just remember the mileage will be much less, it's basically kerosene.

LOL! First it's vegetable oil, then used motor oil, then 10-year old diesel from an old tank on dad's farm, and now this...

you kiddin'? or serious here? You've personally tried it? I never thought about it before. What about the citronella ingredient? Would it harm the injectors or the other fuel system parts?

Heck, with all the mosquitos around my neighborhood, my neighbors would probably chip in to fuel my truck with it

Talking

Hmmmmm....

LOL $$$ from the city for helping with the skitters, cheaper fuel and just think how well you'll be accepted at the campgrounds! Might even get a free site.
Just be on the look out for dead squirrels, birds flying into buildings and humans stumbling around foaming at the mouth. I would suggest moving to another area if this happens.

Scotty

P.S.

If it can burn lets use it.

There was an article in the western producer last spring about a Farmer in SK who was just adding straight canola oil to his bulk tank and mixing it with diesel.

I forget the ratio he was running but I think it was about 30% Canola oil. He had an older John Deere 4WD if I remember right. He reported no problems after 1 season.

I tried to google the ingredients and all I could find was its all natural/vegetable based and made using the same process of biodiesel. Doesn't seem like too good of a bargain because they wanted $30 for 1 gallon. Maybe Wal-Mart carries the Chinese brand.

Very Serious, I'm not sure I would run at 100%, It contains pretrolium hydrocarbons (I'm guessing Kerosene) and a dash of Citronila Oil. It would definatly hurt mpg's being a light fuel oil.

I wish i had a little diesel generator or tractor to try experimental fuels on first, before i try it in a truck that costs this much to fix!
