Why would you want to?

CT3 2 stroke oil is only $1.50 qt.

Is peanut oil cheaper, cleaner burning and actually aid the lubrication of diesel fuel?

I do love turkey fried in peanut oil.

So do I... We fry anywhere from 15-20 turkeys every year here at work for Thanksgiving.

A friend gave me approx. 5-gallons of the oil and I don't really have any other use for it. That's why I asked...

There's plenty of information to be found with the 'ole search button...

I think I'm going to run 1-2 qts. with each fill-up. Some seem to be doing just fine with 70/30 or even 50/50 mixes.

Filter your used cooking oil.

When you do add fried turkey oil to your tank from your Thanksgiving fest, be sure to filter the oil before pouring it into the fuel tank.

No bones or turkey feathers! That could cause a problem.

A five-micron filtering of the used oil is recommended for the older diesels. Some of the newer models have different lines and fuel filters that can get clogged, so they may need to be filtered more than five-micron.

Found mine on e-bay. Search for 5 micron bag filters/biodiesel/WVO.

NOTE: When we got them the kids said they looked like elephant condoms? How do kids know these things?

Question svo

Anyone done any strait vegetable oil conversions, or ran into any performance modification problems from using svo?? Does anyone know any specific parts upgrades that work better with svo? ie fuel injectors, glow plugs, fuel filter/ water seperators??

Adding a few gallons of peanut oil to a full tank won't hurt anything. Make sure it is filtered and there is no water in it. Don't just dump it in, you should pre-mix it with diesel before adding it. It is heavier than diesel and will settle to the bottom, but if you pre-mix it, it will stay that way. Driving the truck and letting the "slosh affect" mix the two is not good enough. Our Jetta has been running on a blend for years.
