my WMO pumping and filtering setup
Finally got my circuit rigged up. in to it for maybe $100 including the drill. have a look, any input feel free.
got a primary fuel filter head for a 16V2000 Detroit from work with filters. they're primarys so about 30-50 micron range. I looked it up once but can't recall exactly. just to keep the big junk out. that filter head by design flows the filters in parallel. each holds about 2 liters. so just a giant prefilter. then got 2 napa filterheads. and two 2 micron fuel filters. piped them in series. then discharge. pumps pretty fast running the drill flat out. moved a 5 gal pail in a few minutes.
maybe hard to see. the hex head plugs in the filterheads, are magnetic insert NPT drain plugs. theres 2 3/4" NPT magnets in the prefilter head. and theres 4 1/2" magnetic NPT plugs in the secondary heads (2 each) in the blocking ports.
I'll bang the 2x8 up to the wall when I decide where I want to leave it more permanently.

Man thats a serious filter set up!
I used a 55 gal. drum with the lid cut off and set a 5 gal. pail inside it.
Then I used a $3.50 5 micron filter bag that was hung above the 5 gal. pail by a metal rod thru the filters handle and supported on both sides of the drum.
Then I poured in the wmo.
The 5 micron filterd oil ends up in the 5 gal. pail and the 55 gal. drum catches anything that misses and suspends the bag.
Clean, easy, effective and most of all CHEAP....everything was free but the $3.50 filter bag and that would do about 150 gallons.
Check your laws close because I am sure that Canada still wants to be paid road taxes on fuel.

or just run it and hope for the best Thanks for the part # on your 2mic filter; I will see what I have in AM. Looks good tho- I like the mounting to a 2x6 idea.

hey ya, I wanted clear. but the store was sold out of all 5/8" clear. so a couple bucks for 5/8 heater hose had to do for now. ya I like the board too. so I can put it up to the garage wall easily when I decide where I want it to go.

You should not let the filter bags hang... they will stretch out under the additional load of the oil and will not filter to the correct size... filter bags should be used as a first stage of filtering... you should really us a filter cartidge
