good processing unit
who has purchased a biodiesel processing unit and uses it alot, i want to know hardcore details about this, pros and cons, prices, time dedicated to processing, what you would change about it, quality/durability.
also, while on the subject, if you have any neat gizmos that have aided in your bio-fueling such as pumps, heaters, etc. let us know, thanks and i really appreciate all the input

Me Too!!
At 4 bucks a gallon i'm ready to get some real alternative solutions if they are viable and safe. i ordered some of that additive stuff that claims you can mix wvo and use it directly in your tank w/o problems. however i am skeptical as i figure that if this was such a great cheap alternative everyone would be on this bandwagon and using it. i also don't want to spend 8k on a processor w/o a guaranteed source of wvo to begin processing. i have heard from the mechanics here where i work that biodiesel is causing issues with seals and injectors in the rigs they maintain. they say it doesn't like rubber etc. i can overlook a few seals etc. if i can save a large quantity of money on fuel, but not at the expense of injectors, pumps, filters, etc.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
i have an 06 3500 quad cab w/intake, aux fuel tank, and a triple dog pwoer pup

I started with an appleseed, but it was leaky (probably my fault), ya can't see what's going on inside, and it was amazingly messy to load (also probably my fault). Then I got a Fuelmeister, which was pretty good, but pricey and does its reactions at ambient temps unless you heat the oil in a drum and pump it into the reactor.
Now I use a home-built 125-gallon reactor that has a propane-fired water heater plumbed in to heat the oil. I've adopted the Graham Laming one-day waterless wash method, and it's awesome. I can crank out 100 gallons with about 2 hours of "hands-on" in the course of a day.

Beach Bio processor
I am considering this processor w/ the Purolite filter. It sounds pretty easy to operate & is fairly affordable. Any thoughts?
