The UN knew that 98% of the WMD that we and the UK sold Saddam in the early '80s were accounted for piece by piece by serial numbers. The other lost 2% could have been used on his own people in northern Iraq or could still be lost or hidden. Or sold to neighboring countries. But we found Saddam in a hole under a house. Now that he's in custody the Iraqi people have peace and tranquility.
What this all has to do with the price of fuel is yet to be seen. I'm sure there is some connection that will come out sooner or later. I don't think 750k tree huggers have enough power to run the energy business of our country. But profit and greed does.
On the bright side, gas and diesel have come down a few pennies over most of the country. Today I saw reg unleaded for $2.559 and diesel for $3.199. Still rather smelly but about $.20 less for both than a couple of weeks ago.
